In 2015 werd ook een FilmFeest georganiseerd.<\/p>\n<p>Overdag zullen alle kinderen van de groepen 7 en 8 van de Julianschool in de gemeente een film met een maatschappelijk thema mogen zien en op het schoolplein een traktatie krijgen. Zij betalen hiervoor een bescheiden vrijwillige bijdrage.<\/p>\n<p>Voor volwassenen is er in de avond in Tuinzaal van Huize Het Oosten een openbare filmvoorstelling met een loterij. Dit jaar draaien we de film Hidden figures. Een film die zeer de moeite waard is met vele enthousiaste reacties.<\/p>\n<p>De opbrengst van die benefietevenement is voor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soroptimist.nl\/de-bilt-bilthoven\/projects-local\/afripads-foundation\/\">AFRIpads<\/a>, een stichting die gratis wasbaar maandverband verstrekt aan meisjes in Oeganda. Het benefietevenement bracht 8500 euro op voor AFRIpads, een stichting die gratis wasbaar maandverband verstrekt aan meisjes in Oeganda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:60%\">\n<p><strong>Verslag van het event:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Soroptimist FilmFeest helpt 1725 Oegandese meisjes een jaar naar school<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Netwerkorganisatie Soroptimistclub De Bilt-Bilthoven organiseerde het Soroptimist FilmFeest voor de tweede keer. Wederom deed de Tuinzaal van Huize Het Oosten dienst als mooie bioscoopzaal. Zo\u2019n 20 lokale ondernemers maakten van het Soroptimist FilmFeest een nog groter succes door als sponsor de opbrengst te verhogen, of een bijdrage te leveren aan de loterij en een wijnverkoop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AFRIpads Foundation<\/strong><br>De opbrengst van het Soroptimist FilmFeest gaat naar AFRIpads Foundation. Die stichting voorziet meisjes van het platteland van Oeganda van gratis wasbaar maandverband. De meisjes zullen niet meer elke maand een week hun lessen missen. Zo zorgt AFRIpads ervoor dat ze niet zover achterop raken dat ze uiteindelijk met school zouden stoppen. Daarnaast geeft AFRIpads voorlichting. De stichting is opgericht door Sanne Bolkenstein, die is opgegroeid in Bilthoven. Afgelopen voorjaar won Sanne een bijzondere award: ze werd Vrouwen van Nu Verschilmaker 2017. Die prijs is een landelijke erkenning voor haar mooie initiatief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Weer een jaar naar school<br><\/strong>Voorzitter van de Soroptimisten Christien Timmer: \u2018Met het FilmFeest konden 150 Bilthovenaren lekker een avondje naar de film \u00e9n hebben we 5750 euro opgehaald. Stichting Wilde Ganzen doet onze opbrengst maal anderhalf, waardoor we uitkomen op het prachtige bedrag van ruim 8600 euro. Voor dat geld kunnen 1725 van de armste meisjes in Oeganda gratis een setje wasbaar maandverband krijgen. Die meisjes kunnen nu weer een jaar gewoon naar school! Als lokale serviceclub voor vrouwen zijn wij ontzettend trots op dit resultaat. een lagere school in de gemeente voor alle leerlingen een film&nbsp;met een maatschappelijk thema aan de kinderen van de groepen 7 en 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img
