Scholen ontvangen boekenkasten en kinderen krijgen een boekentas om boeken mee naar huis te nemen. De lokale werkgelegenheid wordt gestimuleerd door de boekenkasten en -tassen ter plaatse te produceren. Boeken worden in het land zelf aangeschaft. Docenten krijgen een training in het opzetten van een uitleensysteem. Soroptimisten willen geletterdheid bevorderen. In samenwerking met My Book Buddy bieden wij vrouwen en meisjes toegang tot boeken. Om dit te financieren zetten Europese Soroptimisten verschillende sponsoracties op. Op 8 september 2017, de dag van de geletterdheid, startten Soroptimisten in Europees verband leesmarathons met de slogan:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Children read books for children who need books<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"post-taxonomies product-single\"><li>Club Lisse Bollenstreek<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<br><br>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p>Wij hebben ons ingezet voor het goede doel My Book Buddy en hier activiteiten voor georganiseerd. Zo hebben we bijvoorbeeld meegedaan aan de&nbsp;leesmarathon.
