UNESCO’s International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC) located in Caracas, Venezuela is organizing a series of webinars about the work and experience of the UNESCO Chairs and the contribution to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
These online conferences will be held within the framework of the International Education Day, January 24 in 2020. The objective is to provide a space to share the topics and research that UNESCO Chairs are developing in their institutions with the aim of serve as a communication bridge in the construction of possible networks and, generate audiovisual materials that can be consulted by the international academic community in the future.
The webinar that Dr. Felisa Tibbitts will hold will explore questions that are framing a forthcoming book that she is co-editing with Dr. Andre Keet of the Nelson Mandela University (South Africa). As UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Higher Education, Dr. Tibbitts is focused on not only teaching and learning processes at the university but also the epistemology of disciplines, inclusive policies and practices, and the culture. There will be an opportunity to discuss these topics following a 30-minute presentation.
