Soroptimist International heeft het thema \u2018Planting trees for a brilliant future\u2019 gekozen om een link te leggen met de oprichting van de eerste Soroptimistclub in 1921 in Oakland, Californi\u00eb. Deze pioniers beschermden 100 jaar geleden de gigantische sequoia\u2019s in het Redwood National Park. De grote oude bomen zouden worden gekapt, de club lobbyde bij de overheid, won de publieke steun, en het leidde ertoe dat een groot deel van het bos beschermd werd en nog steeds bestaat.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"post-taxonomies product-single\"><li>Club Utrecht-Nedersticht<\/li><\/ul><p>In 2023 willen we fondsen verwerven t.b.v. de vrouwen in Ghana. Dit doen we door op Koningsdag plantjes te verkopen. Ook doen we mee met de Unie &#8216;wedstrijd&#8217; met de tegeltjeswijsheden.
