Op uitnodiging van Soroptimistclub de Veenkoloniën heeft Nienke van Kasteel als gastspreker op onze clubavond verteld over de werkzaamheden van Stichting Terwille waar zij werkzaam is.

Stichting Terwille heeft onder meer de doelstelling het helpen en begeleiden van vrouwen die uit de prostitutie willen stappen. In de lezing heeft Nienke verteld over het ontstaan van de stichting en de vormen van hulp die deze biedt. Ook deelde ze een ervaringsverhaal van een vrouw, die met hulp van de stichting een nieuwe start kon maken.

Als verjaardagscadeau (volgens Nienke het eerste en hopelijk niet het laatste) ontving ze uit handen van Annelies (foto: links) een geldelijke bijdrage voor het goede werk dat de stichting verricht

Soroptimistclub de Veenkoloniën feliciteert de jarige stichting van harte met haar 25-jarige bestaan en wenst haar nog veel succes bij dit belangrijke werk.

First ever birthday present for the Terwille Foundation

With the invitation of Soroptimistclub de Veenkoloniën, Nienke van Kasteel (photo: right) spoke as a guest speaker about the activities of the Foundation where she works.

Soroptimists are committed to the protection and development of women and girls and to their rights. One of the objectives of the Terwille Foundation is to help and guide women who want to leave prostitution. In the lecture, Nienke talked about the origins of the foundation and the types of help it offers. She also shared an experience story of a woman who was able to make a new start with the help of the foundation.

As a birthday present (according to Nienke the first and hopefully not the last) she received a monetary contribution from Annelies (photo: left) for the good work that the foundation does
